Samsonas Motorsport will take part in Olympus Rally

Samsonas Motorsport will once again welcome spring on the North American rally stages. After competing several times in the 100 Acre Wood Rally, a new collaboration with the Canadian team VEX Performance sets Samsonas sights on the Northeast USA. There awaits the most famous and anticipated rally event in the country – the Olympus Rally – which this year celebrates the 40th anniversary of the legendary Group B era and its last event here in Olympus. Samsonas Motorsport is also honored to be a small part of the event as service sponsors.

The Samsonas Motorsport team began preparations for their North American journey some time ago, building a unique Subaru Impreza N14 rally car in-house. The car has already been shipped to VEX Performance’s premises in Calgary, Canada, and will soon make its way to Olympus.

This will be the debut rally for this Subaru Impreza N14, which, after intensive winter tests in Finland, has shown great potential. The car is equipped with an FA20DIT engine, destroked to 1.8 liters with specially made parts by ZRP Parts. Another special feature is the double-wishbone suspension made by MV Sport and the latest evolution 3-way Samsonas Motorsport dampers, specially designed for this suspension. Of course, the car will be equipped with a 6-speed Samsonas sequential gearbox.

The car will be driven by Martynas Samsonas himself. Co-driver duties will be handled by co-driver Ugnius Vainevičius. Two technicians will also come from Lithuania to maintain the car, assisted by the VEX Performance technical crew.

This will not be the only event for the team on this continent – they also plan to attend two Western Canada events, the Rocky Mountain and Pacific Forest rallies, later this year.
